I apologize for x-posting this to a few groups. I just want to get the word out.

I'm very excited about being able to offer a few new resources on my site vajrayana.faithweb.com

I’ve added a copy of Gyurme Dorje’s doctoral dissertation _The Guhyagarbhatantra : and its fourteenth century commentary phyogs bcu mun-sel_ to the "Nyingma Studies" page.
and. The Guhyagarbha Tantra is the main tantra of the Maha-yoga class and the primary Tantric text studied in the Nyingma tradition. It is believed to be one of the earlier tantras still extant. Lonchenpa's text on the condensed tantra by is regarded as one of the best commentaries on this tantra. It is over 1500 pages long but is only about 28 MB

I added Francesca Fremantle's doctoral dissertation _ A Critical Study of the Guhyasamaja Tantra_ to the "Archive" page. Fremantle’s translation was a true landmark in Indo-Tibetan studies. The Guhyasamaja Tantra was one of the 18 major tantras of the Nyingma school, and was an important Anuttara-yoga practice in the Kagyu and early Sakya schools. It is also the central tantra of the Gelug school. Like the tantra above, it is among the earliest dateable tantras still extant.

Two doctoral dissertations on closely related subjects are listed below for those who want to research these traditions further.

_Penetrating the Secret Essence Tantra: Context and Philosophy in the Mahayoga System of rNying-ma Tantra_ by Nathaniel DeWitt Garson. It deals with the Guhyagarbhatantra.

_Vajrayana and its doubles: A critical historiography, exposition, and translation of the Tantric works of Aryadeva._ by Christian Konrad Wedemeyer. Contains English translations of many of the works of Aryadeva on the Guhyasamaja Tradition. vajrayana.faithweb.com/aryadeva.pdf
